During economically challenged times, one is faced with many fears ~ fear of losing ones job, or home; fear of losing a spouse, or failed marriage; fear of losing ones mind; fear of losing a loved-one; fear of losing, or missing an opportunity; fear of becoming broke, and the list goes on…
Having faith will and can dispel any fear; one has to have a positive mindset, that things are going to work out for the better; and not give up, by the torture of fearful thoughts.
God has given us many promises to calm our fears; strengthen us; give us peace; and increase our faith; and, whenever one is faced with any kind of fear, he or she can read and meditate on Scriptures:
“You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
For the Lord will command His angels concerning you,
and no disaster will come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways.” ~ Psalm 91:5-6 and 9-11
“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for God is with me; His rod and His staff, they comfort me.” ~ Psalm 23:4
Rather than avoiding, one should face his or her fears head-on; and don’t spend time worrying, because worry doesn’t solve anything…
